What are you thankful for this 2024?

Once again it’s January (also known as the season of creating new vision boards, establishing new goals, habits, diets, travel destinations, and the list goes on honestly.) And although thinking about all these can be exciting, it’s also normal to feel January blues.

“I’m still not sure what I want to do with my life.”

“I’m not yet ready to make big changes.”

“I still can’t afford my ideal lifestyle and dreams.”

“The ‘New Year, New Me’ mantra feels overwhelming for me right now.”

And you know what? That’s totally okay. We mean it.

Sometimes, we have to remind ourselves that going all out and making sudden big changes is not everyone’s cup of tea. We’re just humans. We think, move, and operate differently and that’s not something we should be ashamed of just because you might feel like “you’re missing out”. Don’t you think it’s a bit beautiful how we all have different timelines and stories to tell?

For example, let’s meet Mimi (a 28-year-old marketing professional) and Jack (a 42-year-old software engineer.)

Mimi started her career straight out of college, climbing the corporate ladder at a steady pace. Jack, on the other hand, took a different route. After a decade in one industry, he decided to pursue his passion for tech, switching careers in his mid-30s. Despite the age gap, both Mimi and Jack found success and fulfillment in their unique timelines, proving that professional growth knows no age limits.

So whenever life feels too overwhelming for you, try asking yourself “What am I thankful for right now?” “What are the things that I used to pray for but they’ve now become answered prayers?”

So whenever life feels too overwhelming for you, try asking yourself “What am I thankful for right now?” “What are the things that I used to pray for but they’ve now become answered prayers?”

Well if you ask us, one of our answered prayers happened last November 19, 2023.

Let’s take a quick trip back to memory lane. Here at The VA Hub, we believe in not just creating virtual connections and offering a better work-life balance. We also believe in fostering a community that transcends distances and as the curtains fell on the night of November 19, 2023, our virtual assistants and support team members came together from every nook and cranny of the Philippines for a gala event that left an indelible mark on our hearts.

In the spirit of a fall season (yes, kunwari may fall season tayo because we are extra like that), The VA Hub reminisces a night of enchantment and camaraderie at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila. Distance couldn’t dim the sparkle of our celebration. From Luzon to Mindanao, and even from all the way to sunny and bright California, USA, our virtual assistants, support team members, and company leaders joined in the festivities (we may or may not had a “The Boat is Sinking 2.0 Game” where one winner took home ₱20,000 just from that) and also a 5-star dinner buffet because everyone simply deserved to be well-fed!

It was a night where everyone decided to be their own main characters and dressed up with their best fall-themed outfits. Safe to say that we all had a major slay! But that night wasn’t just all about the extra fun, it was also about showing our heartfelt appreciation to every single individual on our team who made our company the pride and joy it is today.

Here’s an extra treat for you: Our handsome CEO, Jerry Tran, and his dashing brother, Brian Tran, along with our favorite boss babe COO, Mika Miranda, enticed everyone with a surprise song number! Yup, individual scoring, mind you. (Syempre, it’s not a full-fledged Filipino event without a chaotic karaoke session!)

As we continue our journey at The VA Hub, the echoes of our Enchanting Fall Affair 2023 night resonate in our virtual corridors, serving as a reminder that beyond tasks and projects, it’s the bonds we forge that truly define us.

Here’s to more magical moments, more camaraderie, and many more unforgettable and bigger parties in the vibrant tapestry of The VA Hub’s community.

With much gratitude,
The VA Hub Team
