Technology changes the lives of all of us. From transportation, communication, agriculture, education, and health, it is proven that innovation affects our daily living. With technology evolving rapidly, it has shaped the way we work, and it continues to become integrated into the workplace as today’s office couldn’t function without a computer.
You must use technology in the most effective way possible, but there have been fears that these advancements will replace people.

Artificial-Intelligence Replacing People
Businesses using new technologies to their advantage are those enjoying tremendous success. With the widespread use of technology, companies of all sizes are increasingly comfortable with the idea of running their business better. Although it improves a business’ workload, it decreases its workforce.
Bus conductors were a common feature of many local bus services in larger towns and cities worldwide in the late ’90s. As time goes by, bus conductors were replaced by technology. Another example is the pitfall of book publishing companies, whereas eBooks returned books. Because of the incredible results using minimal efforts technology is giving us, it does make sense that it made people technology dependent.
Technology Dependent
Improvements in technology have opened up the possibility of working remotely. This gave a lot of workers an advantage during this pandemic, which expanded the virtual assistance industry.
People want to look for a job the same way they want to do their job on-the-go and technology is possible. However, because of too much dependence, technology has made us lazy. In contrast, journalists are now mining for stories, employees relying on their alarms to start the day, virtual assistants cheating timestamps, programmers hacking websites, and thieves scamming people. As technology emerges, the crime rate arises.
Changing the way we work
Tech companies are insisting they’ve made the world a better place. Yes, in succeeding in doing things but not on the way we work as it transformed our work ethics. Having a strong work ethic makes good business sense because employees want to work for a company they are proud of, and with colleagues, they know to act with integrity. We should not be technology-dependent as there will be potential consequences that exist. The cost of becoming dependent on technology is our mental health, our cognitive capabilities, work ethics, and the future of innovation.
